The V Café: Reviews & Ratings
A Vietnamese restaurant in a VFW… seems unlikely, but the cowboy spring roll was very good. A generous slice of brisket atop a spring roll with a fresh dipping sauce. I felt a bit like a poser eating at a VFW as the privilege wasn’t earned, even though they’re open to the public.
Awesome Vietnamese food inside the VFW in Dubois. The menu is simple but hits the greatest hits of most American Vietnamese restaurants. The staff is beyond sweet and very laid back. The interior is cozy and simple but welcoming and honors local veterans and those who have sacrificed everything in the line of duty. The food is a delight and full of flavor. They are decently priced given they are in Wyoming where I imagine sourcing Asian ingredients has to take some finesse. Highly recommend hitting them up if you're in Dubois for any reason.
My husband and I had a delicious dinner at V Restaurant in Dubois! The shaken beef was fresh and flavorful with bell peppers and onions. The other dishes we had were fabulous too. Kim and her husband serve authentic Vietnamese dishes and they are a perfect addition to Dubois.

Nestled inside the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Dubois, Wyoming, The V Café offers a warmly unexpected culinary experience. Despite its unassuming setting, this Vietnamese eatery brings bold, authentic flavors to a corner of the American West where such cuisine is a rare find. The simplicity of the menu belies the thoughtful execution and genuine passion behind each dish, blending traditional Vietnamese fare with local influences.
One standout is the cowboy spring roll—a creative twist featuring a generous slice of tender brisket atop a crisp spring roll, accompanied by a fresh dipping sauce that balances richness with brightness. The shaken beef commands equal attention; tender meat sautéed with bell peppers and onions bursts with flavor, showcasing the care given to sourcing and preparation despite the geographic challenges of Wyoming.
For those seeking comfort, the pho serves as a rich, soul-warming bowl, perfectly spiced and brimming with depth, while the pork egg rolls, prepared from a cherished three-generation family recipe, speak to authentic heritage. The pork/noodle bowl offers a lighter yet savory option, with meat so well-prepared it elevates every bite.
What makes The V Café truly special, beyond its dishes, is the hospitality of the owners and staff. Their warm, laid-back nature creates a welcoming atmosphere that honors the local veterans while inviting all guests to savor and celebrate Vietnamese cuisine.
